Overview

Perform a variety of functions in accordance with standard procedures in Accounting and Accounts Payable. Provide accounting support to Importing Division. Post information to the general ledger. Compile segments of monthly close including accruals. Perform account analyses and lead special projects as needed. Serve as back-up for Accounts Payable Supervisor.

Responsibilities

Provide accounting support to Imports:
- Properly account for all types of spend including suppliers, other vendors and distributor customers
- Coordinate billbacks to suppliers; apply admin fees as required
- Develop monthly reporting to support senior management

Project Lead for Accounts Payable Automation Project:
- Participate in vendor selection; attend team meetings; set up process flow and Chart of Accounts.
- Assist with user and inter-departmental training.

Accounts Payable:
- Handle all Capital Projects, Operations, Facilities, and Security & Safety transactions including month-end accruals.   Research & resolve issues.
- Validation and payment of sales rep monthly allowances in accordance with UFCW Local 2D
- Coordinate and process weekly ACH payment run
- Serve as back-up for processing of weekly check runs during absences of AP Supervisor

Prepare account reconciliations and provide reporting/special projects as requested.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $60,000 to $63,000, depending on qualifications such as experience, education, and skillset.
